Re:Watched a few movies over the weekend... sirhc96: Last movie I saw in the theatre was Spanglish, not a great movie if you want to take your mind off of relationships. Good movie though. Nice to see Adam Sandler in a serious role.
Re:Watched a few movies over the weekend... craez: MADAGASCAR!!!!!!! it comes out this spring/summer. check out the trailer on line. i've watched it a hundred times. for only 2 minutes worth of movie, it makes me laugh every time! just check it out! i promise it's funny!
million dollar baby? two thumbs up. just take one metric ton of tissue when you go....if you can carry that much.
and i thought constantine ROCKED! i love movies like that though. mind numbing, no brainer plot lines keep me distracted. lately, i don't want to think about ANYTHING. it's ok for movies to just be stories without any point once in a while.
i can't WAIT for my new boyfriend (christian bale's) movie to come out....BATMAN BEGINS!!!!!!!!! and he begins MUCH sexier this time!
Re:Watched a few movies over the weekend... teacherwriterguy: Oh, one other - though not sure it's a "take your mind off of things" kind of movie.
I just recently had a chance to finally see "Lost in Translation" with Bill Murray and Scarlet Johannsen. It was as good as all the reviewers said it was.
It WILL make you think about relationships, what people want out of life, and how hard it is for two people to communicate honestly with one another though.
Hey, maybe there's a business in this. Someone should start writing "Divorce-worthy" Movie Reviews. They could be movie-reviews targeted at how traumatic/helpful/enjoyable/relatable films will be to people going through divorces...
Some marketing genius may now make millions off of my idea. I give full permission.

Re:Watched a few movies over the weekend... sirhc96: Hehe, I thought about that idea for a few months. Maybe I could a website for all of us to post our movie reviews on about relationships or we could just keep this thread going ;D And I agree Lost in Translation does make you think about life and relationships.
Re:Watched a few movies over the weekend... paul76: This weekend I curled up to the winning combination of
Thomas Crown Affair....great movie about being so filthy rich and bored that you steal a Monet for excitement. Great cast as well, Renee Russo, Pierce Brosnan, Denis Leary..etc.
Pulp Fiction....an american cinema classic...no need to explain this one.....
Would love to go see an new movie, but I am skeptical about going by myself. Anyone on here got any experience at this?
