A happy post!!!! Jennicole: ok. some of you know my situation, some of you dont. i have a hard time talking about 'happy' things on here, because i know a lot of you are hurting. i dont want it to seem like a slap in the face. But, as Lost teacher put it, sometimes its nice to see something happy. so here goes.....
My husband and i just celebrated our first wedding anniversary. and i mean celebrated, because neither one of us thought we would make it to that. just a few months ago, when i joined this site, i thought i was getting a divorce. we constantly fought about everything. there was no cheating involved, but there was a big lack of respect. it got to the point that when we fought we would say very hurtful things, and then blame it on each other. to say that we were not happy to see each other would have been an understatement. and sex? what sex? that never happended! we were just in a really bad state. we fought every single day. something stupid would bring out statements like 'i hate you' or 'i want a divorce' . i had hit my limit. i was ready to give up. i was going to leave this a-hole, because i didnt deserve this. and then someone on this site reached out to me, and told me not to give up. so i tried not to. and then it all came crashing down. we sat across from each other, eyes swollen red, dividing up our assets. and then we both broke down and cried. cried like babies. in that instant, we both realized what we had. it no longer was about who was right or who was wrong. right then and there we decided we were done with the fighting. our pride didnt mean as much as our marriage. we both gained something that day. a little humility, but most of all we got our marriage back. we are happier now than we ever have been. so it is possible. and i know, if it had not been for the support from some of you, i would have given up long ago. thank you.
