tax and divorce in NJ mightymouse: i have been separated for ~ 2months. can i file separately in the state of NJ? we were only married for a year and we filed jointly, legaly i am not separated or divorce, but i don't want to see his face just yet..... so am i allow to file as married but separately... and by doing this will i need anything from him? also, to divorce in NJ, how long does it take to finalize that? do i need to see his face again?
