Re: alone alone alone achingallover: You guys are cracking me up "Fruitything."....how strange....
You go, FoundMe! Get thee to Vagus - just don't lose your shirt! ;) I know, it's all too painful, but I hear it'll get easier...I'm waiting for that to kick in myself.

Re: alone alone alone Billsfan709: You mentioned your puppy was there for you..My greyhound Shakespeare, along with family and friends has really kept me together. He has done all the right things-behaved himself, is happy to see me when I come home, and has not moped that "mommy" is no longer around. He's even taken to sleeping in bed with me, and he hogs the bed as bad as Stbx. Then he dreams and starts to kick me..I guess he's dreaming he can open the fridge. My cats have "been there" too, but you know how cats are..

Re: alone alone alone achingallover: Hey watch it with the cats comment, mister! I got two fatty kats who have been emotionally eating through this whole ordeal. My stbx won't even pet them. He has totally shut them out too. It's hard for me to see them go through this. I think it's reactivating their abandonment issues - I know this is true for one of them anyway. It's amazing what animals can do in your life. I have always wanted to get a dog but my stbx never wanted one. Once I get stable, emotionally, I am going to see if I can get one. I don't want to bring in animal into a totally emotional sitaution, which is what it is right now. But I am getting an apt. that allows dogs and cats, planning for my future!

Re: alone alone alone notmyself: aching,
fatty cats, huh? after stbx left, he would still come over to get things, etc. the cats wouldn't even go to him. they have now adopted new bf as their 'guy'. animals are too funny. even they knew their 'dad' was a jerk! ;D
Re: alone alone alone justmenow: Yeah, my animals have been great. They all started sleeping on the bed when he left (2 cats and a 126 pound dog - my "puppy") They've been very protective of me - licking me, petting me (my cat paws at my hair) and always near me. Even as I type this, my dog is on the floor next to my chair, and one of my cats is on the other side grooming herself.
