Moving....done jen: Hi all. I've been moving this last weekend and still don't have phone/internet service set up at my new place (a service nightmare that as a renter I really shouldn't have to deal with at all >:(), but thought I'd check in for a moment from work. Hopefully I'll get my internet situation settled this week and I'll be up and running at home soon :)
Low point: my movers came on Sunday and it was raining...and yikes, I thought that I was going to burst into tears a number of times throughout the day, especially when it didn't seem like everything was going to fit into my new place because I had to bring some things that I still need to sell/give away. As my dad described, it was like trying to fit 10 lbs into a 5 lb bag
But, the dust cleared, boxes got unpacked and I set up my new bedroom first and hung up my pictures right away instead of waiting for all the other practical things to get done. Immediately if felt more like home! I also discovered that the things I decided to keep and bring with me seem new and different now that I am thinking of them as my things in my new place instead of what was once ours.
The high point of my move was taking a really long bubble bath in the great, big old clawfoot bathtub until I was just about soggy. Right then I decided that there is something to be said for renting a little place that has some spunk and character! 8)
And, I have gotten two of the best night's sleep that I have had in ages!!!!

So glad to hear it's going well!! I can't wait to get mine moving forward.
You really appreciated a little character in your new place? That's what I'm really torn about right now. I keep waffling between places that are just a little better put together and places that have a little more charm.
That and trying to divest myself of the 10 lb bag of stuff before I move. :)
