My mom went through the same thing you guys did. Never divorced, but considered single parent anyway. She worked as a tailor to put food on the table. And I was the rebellious kid till about 19.
For all those useless so-called-men out there, I for one cannot understand why. Why cause so much sadness? If it's not women, then its drinking, else gambling else something else. Whose bad karma is it? The wife or the husband?! Oh, the pain of living...:'(
My dad, after 10 years, begged us to bail him out from an Indonesian jail for travelling with expired passport. He was locked up for 2 years. Now, at 59, we don't know what to do with him.
If there is someone up there, there's no way but up.
Re:anyone else never been alone before? rcmorrison: Since the age of 21, I have always been married, but now after dealing with a failed marriage of 13yrs and now going thru another divorce after only 3 months of marriage, I find myself looking forward to some alone time.
It's OK to be alone, but not for long. I go to the movies, to dinner, on vacations...alone....and I'm loving this time.
It's refreshing to learn something about myself after all these years.
I hope to meet someone that will enjoy being with me, but if that does not happen, at least I will enjoy being with me.
