Re:anyone else never been alone before? Lonelyi in PA: well until I find a new place I plan on repainting.. the walls are in need of a spruce up. We lived here for 8 years so there are some fixes to be done.
Maybe you make some minor changes to the place? It takes up some hours in the day. Start small.. move a piece of furniture.. especially if your situation doesn't allow you to move out right away.
Keep busy away from home if you don't like sitting in an empty house. I get up earlier now go out and exercise or try to do the things I need to for the upcoming support hearing. I'm not up as late and I personally think its easier being alone during the day than late at night.
One last thought.. any pets? My cat is my best bud right now.. purring away on my lap. :D

we had a pet that was considered our baby
my x has solid char and integrity and therefore i can keep the cat as i wish
i miss kitty but am afraid it will be traumatizing to see him....

i went out tonight and met people and dont feel that freaky scary feeling so im happy (but actually i was mad too bc of feeling so pathetic meeting people and no one there was someone gentle and kind everyone just wanted to have fun and i dont want fun i want calm gentle folk....)
Re:anyone else never been alone before? willow78: being alone can be very scary, especially when you have depended on someone else for so long. He always paid the bills, I never had to worry about that. All I had to worry about was grocerys and the two truck payments. Now I have a house payment, grocerys, utilities, truck payment etc. etc.. I absolutly hate it!! i miss the security I had with him. But, as time goes on, I am sort of adjusting, getting things organized, trying to feel comfortable with all of this. I find no pleasure in my new house, because I want to be in the other house with my husband, but, he prefers to have his white trash there instead. So, you hold your head up, and realize that you will be the better person for doing this on your own, you will triumph, on your own!! Keep plugging away!! Good luck. ;) :-\
Re:anyone else never been alone before? rhismom: Hi, I'm also facing being "alone" for the first time. I'll have my kids with me so guess I won't technically be alone. Rather I should say supporting myself entirely alone--being responsible for my own household alone.
Was with stbx since the age of 17. Went from living at home to living with him to marriage to him. It's almost 17 years later now............
Very very scary. I don't know yet how I will cope. I imagine there will be some very hard days, but I hope to come out of this a stronger person.
Re:anyone else never been alone before? AmyMarie1972: I am also feeling very alone now. Was with my husband for 13 years. Moved out of my parents home and we went straight to our own flat. Now I too am left to do everything myself regarding the bills. I have my 4 children but it really isn't the same thing as having the person that you love to share your day with, to grab a cuddle from when the kids have been messing around and all you want to do is scream.
The world is now seeming to ba a very scary place and I have no-one there to turn to to help me with it.
I hate it. I just hope that what i am told is true and that time will heal and make me stronger and I hope the same for everyone else too.
