is anybody still friends with your ex's friends? i am and it sucks. i need new friends. i like hanging out and all, but SOMEhow that loser comes up in the conversation every time. even though i hate his guts and wouldn't take him back FOR ANYTHING ON EARTH....it STILL hurts! he treated me like GARBAGE....worse than garbage, so it makes me just CRAZY to even hear his name! like i said. i need new friends. i don't want to know ANYTHING about my ex and i heard an earfull last night at happy hour (not-so-happy hour, as it turned out.)
i'm struggling today. COMFORT ME! *sniff, sniff* :'(
Re:i just hate it when someone says they have seen your X.... netty_girl: I totally hear you. All the people that i have been friends with in the past 6 years have only been those of by x's. He didn't like the fact that the majority of my friends were male, and we did an agreeance (bad idea) that i wouldn't hang with them if he wouldnt hang with his female friends. Differece is that my male friends were just that- Friends. His female friends had previously had relationships, and 2 still were desperatly trying. I think New Friends are one of the most needed things right now, the only problem is where do you find them? I have a 4 year old daughter, and I am not about to go running off to the bars to find new friends. Also, the park scene doesnt work too well either.

Re:i just hate it when someone says they have seen your X.... down south xhubbie: I've been fortunate not to run into them anywhere. It could be for the fact that I am a hermit ( lol ) or that I only go out to restaurants that have playground equipment, but I don't run into them.
HOWEVER, as all of you mentioned, it doesn't stop the friends and relatives from seeing them all over town. My couple friends seem to see them everywhere and my aunt has seen them several times in various places.
one thing that is kind of funny, forgive me in advance Lord, is that my son shows out in restaurants with her. I guess she gives a lot of attention to Daddy Warbucks so my son gets her attention one way or another plus she has never been able to do anything with him in the past ::) so why should I expect that now. My son sometimes acts up with me, but all I have to say is, "would you like to go to the bathroom and have a "talk"? lol for some reason, he straightens up ;)

I moved him out of his homtown into mine so all of "our" friends were MY friends to start with! HEE HEE Not that it matters. I would chit chat with them like any other time whether his name was brought up or not. I guess once you are REALLY over the ex, then it doesn't matter. Soooo......I guess my advice is.......just give it time. It will not bother you for too long.
