Hope, love and (re)marriage !! jason: Hello all !
To all the old OJARites out there who remember me, and to all the newer members of OJAR, who don't know me from Jacob, ;DI have an announcement to make.
A year ago just about now, I met a lady here on OJAR who was going through many of the same challenges that I was. Her husband left her in much the same manner as my wife left me. For those who remember how much we both hurt a year ago right now, I so wish you could see us today !
Over the past year, we have helped one another heal from the pain of divorce, and, somewhere in the process, we fell in love with one another. We bought a home and some land in Vermont over Christmas, spent our New Year here with Eyelo and Spectrum, and finally, over Easter, I asked her to marry me, and she said Yes !
Who'd a thunk it, eh ???? Meet your future wife on a divorce support chat site.....if only you all knew how unlikely that would have been for me a year ago. To say I am generally VERY old fashioned is a HUGE understatement, as well Mel will tell you !
My job is going very well. I love my new home, and I love my new wife to be. After all the hell that I have gone through over the past several years, this is unbelievable to me !
A year ago I said that faith, hope and love were very much stronger than hate, pain and fear. I am blessed that it is true.
It is our sincere hope that all of you can experience some of what is happening to us right now in your own lives. Please continue to look for the miracles in your life, especially when and where the clouds look darkest.
