Should I apply for a divorce?

Should I apply for a divorce? AmyMarie1972: Hi everyone,
You guys probably all know my history. Husband left 7 weeks ago got together woith OW 2 weeks ago and has told me today that it is permanant and forever and he is definately never coming back again.
Thing is he doesn't want to get divorced. Him and the OW don't really see eachother much and I suppose that I am still clinging to that tiny bit of hope although he sounded really determined. Hard to let go of the 13 years that we had.
The 4 kids are taking all of this really hard.
The question is do I believe what he has just said and that he is never coming back and apply for a divorce myself. I so want to be able to move on and get my life back together even if he is not part of it.
Re:Should I apply for a divorce? Ladybug: Hey AM,

Once my XH said that he didn't want to work on our marriage, that was it for me. It takes both of you wanting it for it to work. I know it's hard to take that step, actually filing, but once you do, then you can really start healing.

Re:Should I apply for a divorce? Cizzler: Why doesn't he want a divorce? He obviously doesn't want to be married.
Re:Should I apply for a divorce? AmyMarie1972: To be honest I don't know why he doesn't want a divorce. He came up with the excuse that neither one of us could afford it, but i have looked into it and it really doesn't cost that much. Maybe I should ask him. I mean if he is so definate that he is never coming back and that this b**ch is the one for him then I dont get it. (Excuse the language).
Re:Should I apply for a divorce? Cizzler: Why should you wait around waiting for him to decide? Take the power back and make the decision for what is best for you.
